I feel like I've been a little absent from the blogging world lately. Not so much from posting, but from visiting other blogs.
I know this is because of the craziness that comes with this Christmas season. I have a never-ending list of things to do which include:
Taking family pictures for our Christmas letter,
Putting together our Christmas letter and pictures and mailing those out,
Getting Ellie's birthday party ready,
Christmas shopping,
Making Christmas goody baskets to send to our grandparents,
Wrapping Christmas gifts, etc.
I'm also without a camera right now so I'm sad that I can't post pictures of our Christmas decorations. I do love to decorate for Christmas. Oh well, I guess I'll get those pictures on here soon enough.
I love this time of year but it sure can be exhausting.
I think that's why my favorite Christmas moments are in the evening, when I make myself slow down and sit by the tree with some eggnog, or play with Ellie, or cuddle with Caleb, or do my Beth Moore biblestudy. That's when I feel God's presence.
I want to constantly remind myself of why we're doing this whole "Christmas thing".
Because God is SO good, and so worthy to be praised. He loved us so much to send his only son to pay for our sins. He loved us then, and he loves us now in our day to day struggles and joys. Glory to God in the Highest!

Christine... what Beth Moore study are you doing right now? I'm always looking for another study to start! I just got finished with Esther about a month ago and saw Beth this weekend at a conference... great stuff!
