I was recently sharing these stories with my family when they reminded me "You HAVE to get these on fb or the blog!"
They were right. I don't document the things Ellie says nearly often enough. I hope you enjoy these stories as much as I did. :)
Our Ellie is such a climber. If we let her, she would climb up anything and everything. One day she was trying to climb up our very large, very unstable dresser. I instantly scolded her and told her never to climb that dresser again. Of course, she asked me why she couldn't. So I explained to her that it could fall on her, probably hurt her badly and she could possibly even die (I know this sounds awful, but sometimes we have to put some healthy fear into this girl so she understands danger). I guess she understood because now when she wants to climb something she turns to me and asks "Mommy, will this die on me?"
Yesterday Ellie and I were talking in the car. It was going to be a long car ride. Ellie was being very inquisitive and was asking me question after question and following each one up with "why?" Typically when we go round and round with her we're able to end the conversation with "because God made it that way." But yesterday she wouldn't have it. Her response to that answer was "No Mommy! Tell me WHY?!" Well, I was running out of answers and the conversation was just going in circles again so I said "How about we put on a movie." And I did just that. A few minutes later from behind me I heard "Mommy, why are we watching a movie?" I replied with "Oh, I just thought you wanted to watch one." Then she replied with "Are we watching a movie because I was asking too many questions?"
I know there's more but I just can't think of them right now. I wish I had a crazy picture of Ellie to put on here but I don't. Good thing we get to take family pictures with the very talented Becky next week. :) SO looking forward to it!

I was telling Jeremy the last story last night and after we were done laughing he said, "it's amazing that she can perceive herself as other people look at her. There are some adults who can't even do that." She's SO funny but she's also SO smart!
And I can't WAIT to see the pictures from Becky!!
Kids are so funny!! I tell Emerson she can't do things to and when she asks why I always say, "because you could hurt yourself of possibly die". She always says back, "Emmy doesn't want to die."
Ellie is just TOO funny!! =) Some of the things that come out of her mouth just crack me up! She definitely keeps you on your toes!! We love her just the way she is!
Love, Mom
I so enjoying hearing these!! So cute!
